Carol Dorrance

Agency Icon/Receptionist

“Just say hello to people – it takes so little to make someone smile.”

For anyone who doesn’t walk the halls of Arnold, Carol Dorrance is our most famous receptionist and agency icon.

Before joining the advertising world, Carol spent time working at both Children’s Hospital in Boston and Boston College. After a brief stint in California, Carol couldn’t resist her ties to Newton and ended up moving back to Boston. She landed her first advertising job at BBDO, thinking it was a law firm. After spending 12 years there, Carol began working at K&E/Bozell as an Office Manager/Personnel Director. During her time at Bozell, Carol worked on the campaign for Massachusetts Governor Edward King, who won in ’79. Carol was elected to the Executive Committee of K&E and was also the Boston liaison for K&E-Worldwide.

A more recent honor was winning the Lifetime Achievement Award for 20+ years of service to the agency. Even after 45 years in the advertising business, Carol is still known for her outgoing and friendly nature; she greets everyone, from CEOs to interns, with a big smile and a “hello.” We’re lucky to have her here at Arnold.
